Precast Shapes
What we supply
Factory-formed and ready to set.
Precast refractory shapes are cast, pressed, or formed from castable, plastic, or insulating material under controlled factory conditions, then shipped cured and ready for installation. Complex geometries that would require days of skilled field work arrive on the truck ready to set.
Burner Blocks & Tile
Precisely formed to match burner geometry in high-alumina and silicon carbide formulations. Resistance to flame impingement and thermal shock is engineered into the mix design.
Corbels & Ledge Tile
Structural support shapes for suspension systems and load-bearing applications. Designed to your dimensional specs with adequate embedment for mechanical anchoring.
Arch Segments & Roofs
Sprung arch and flat roof sections in modular segments. Reduces arch-forming time from days to hours. Available in fireclay, high-alumina, and IFB compositions.
Nose Rings & Transitions
Rotary kiln nose rings, hood shapes, and transition pieces where standard brick is impractical. Segmental design accommodates thermal expansion.
Flue Liners & Ducts
Round, square, and rectangular sections for hot gas handling and combustion chambers. Spigot-and-socket or flat-end joining configurations available.
Custom Engineered Shapes
Submit a drawing or CAD file. We work with producers who can form virtually any geometry. Prototype and production quantities available.
Replacement programs: measure, cast, deliver
Red Stick Industrial Supply can coordinate measurement of worn precast components during an outage, arrange casting to exact original dimensions, and have replacement shapes ready before the next scheduled shutdown. Reduce your outage duration by having parts on hand before the furnace comes down.
Product specifications
| Shape Type | Typical Material | Max Temp | Lead Time | Notes |

| Arch Segment | Fireclay / HA | 3,100°F | 4–6 wk | Specify radius and rise |
| Corbel / Ledge | Dense Castable | 3,000°F | 4–6 wk | Provide load specs |
| Nose Ring Segment | HA / SiC | 3,000°F | 6–8 wk | Segmental; field joints designed in |
| Flue Liner Section | Fireclay / HA | 2,800°F | Stock / 4 wk | Round, square, or rectangular |
| Custom Shape | Per specification | Per mix | 6–12 wk | CAD file required for quoting |
Advantages over field-formed castable
Field castable requires forming, pouring, curing, and drying before the furnace can heat up. Precast shapes arrive ready to install.
- Consistent density — factory QC vs. field conditions
- No on-site forms required — lower installation labor
- Reduced dry-out time; moisture already driven out at factory
- Complex shapes achievable that brick or field castable cannot replicate
Ordering and lead times
Standard shapes are often available short-run or from stock. Custom shapes require engineering review — plan 6–12 weeks ahead for critical path items.
- Provide dimensional drawings, service temp, and atmosphere
- Specify mix type or describe the application — we can recommend
- Samples available before committing to production quantities
- Large turnaround jobs should be scoped 8–12 weeks in advance
