Ceramic Fiber
What we supply
Low thermal mass. Fast heat-up. Serious performance.
Ceramic fiber linings heat up faster, lose less energy between cycles, and weigh a fraction of conventional brick — without sacrificing high-temperature performance. Red Stick Industrial Supply stocks all major product forms in standard and high-temperature ratings.
Ceramic Fiber Blanket
Continuous rolls in 1" and 2" thickness, 24" and 48" widths. 2300°F, 2400°F, and 2600°F ratings in 4, 6, 8, and 10 PCF densities. The foundation of most ceramic fiber lining systems.
Ceramic Fiber Modules
Blanket folded and compressed into block form. Anchor directly to the furnace shell — no forming, no masonry. Built-in compression keeps seams tight through thermal cycling.
Ceramic Fiber Board
Rigid panels for structural areas, door linings, and dimensionally critical sections. Machinable, drillable, and cuttable to complex profiles. Service to 2,600°F depending on grade.
Fiber Paper & Sheet
Thin flexible sheet for expansion joint filler, gaskets, and wrapping heated components. Available 1/16" to 1/4" thickness.
Bulk Ceramic Fiber
Loose fiber for filling voids, packing joints, and insulating irregular cavities. Also used as raw material for coating slurries. 2300°F and 2600°F grades.
Polycrystalline Fiber
Mullite and alumina fibers for service above 2,600°F where standard alumino-silicate is no longer suitable. Used in aerospace, specialty ceramics, and advanced heat-treating.
Converting from brick to ceramic fiber
The reduction in thermal mass alone can cut cycle energy consumption 20–40% in intermittent-duty furnaces. Red Stick Industrial Supply can support the engineering review and supply all materials for a conversion project — blanket, modules, anchors, and coatings.

Health & handling requirements
Refractory ceramic fiber (RCF) is classified Group 2B (IARC). Appropriate respiratory and skin protection is required during installation and removal.
- NIOSH N95 minimum; P100 recommended for removal of aged fiber
- Long sleeves, gloves, and eye protection required at all times
- Wet down fibers before removal to suppress airborne concentration
- Follow all OSHA and manufacturer handling and disposal guidelines
- Biosoluble alternative grades available where RCF classification is a concern
Temperature rating selection
Select a classification temperature 200–300°F above your expected hot-face operating temperature. Operating above rated temp causes shrinkage and performance loss.
- 2300°F: general industrial, heat treat, low-temp kilns
- 2400°F: forge furnaces, glass lehrs, mid-range kilns
- 2600°F: high-temp kilns, petrochemical, steel reheat furnaces
- 3000°F+: polycrystalline specialty products only
